1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sky Recap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sky Recap is a flight statistics visualization tool that scans your email for flight confirmation emails, extracts flight data using AI, and generates personalized travel recaps. The Service supports Google (Gmail) and Apple (iCloud Mail) accounts as email sources.

3. Account & Access

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You may also connect an iCloud Mail account by providing an app-specific password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any credentials you provide. You must not share your session or allow others to access the Service through your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in an abusive manner.

4. Email Access & Permissions

The Service requires read-only access to your email to search for flight confirmation emails and extract travel data. We do not modify, delete, or send emails on your behalf.

Gmail: We request read-only access via Google OAuth. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account settings.

iCloud Mail: If you connect an iCloud account, you provide an app-specific password that is stored encrypted in our database. This password is used solely to access your email via IMAP. You can disconnect your iCloud account at any time, which permanently removes the stored password.

5. Data Accuracy

Flight data is extracted using AI and may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of extracted flight information. The Service is provided for entertainment and personal tracking purposes, not as a verified travel record.

6. Public Sharing

You may choose to share your flight recap via a public link. Shared recaps display your name, profile picture, and flight statistics including route details, airport codes, top airlines, and countries visited. By sharing, you acknowledge that this information will be publicly accessible to anyone with the link. You can stop sharing at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service
  • Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

8. Intellectual Property

The Sky Recap name, logo, design, and code are our property. Your flight data remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and display your data as necessary to provide the Service.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Google (OAuth, Gmail API), Apple (iCloud IMAP), Anthropic via AWS Bedrock (AI flight extraction), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and AWS (job processing). Your use of the Service is also subject to these providers' terms of service.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to inaccurate flight data, service interruptions, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (if any).

11. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

12. Data Deletion

You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@skyrecap.com. Upon deletion, all flight data, session data, OAuth tokens, and stored iCloud credentials will be permanently removed.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
